Every year, millions of people worldwide get sexually transmitted infections. The fight against these diseases is one of the toughest and, if not treated on time, can lead to serious damage to the body, including infertility. Of course, prevention is an extremely important factor in the fight against these diseases but in the event of risky contact, it is advisable to do the necessary tests. Timely screening will help to start rapid treatment while the infection is at the earliest stage, or vice versa – will ensure the peace of the one who gets tested. The “Tranquility” package includes laboratory tests for some of the most common sexually transmitted diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, chlamydia and syphilis.
HbsAg is part of the outer shell of the hepatitis B virus. It is the first marker to be positive. The infection is transmitted through blood or sexual contact with an incubation period of about 70 days.
Anti-HCV is a test that shows the presence or absence of antibodies against the hepatitis C virus. The virus is transmitted by contact with virus-infected blood or infected objects – by blood transfusions, using common needles and syringes and others. Sexual transmission is also assumed.
Wass – The Wasserman test is a laboratory blood test that is used to detect syphilis. Syphilis is a sexually transmitted disease, but the infection is also transmitted through household items such as bed linen and hygiene products.
Chlamidia IgM – The most common infections are chlamydia trachomatis, which usually affects the female and male reproductive systems. Laboratory diagnosis of chlamydia is performed by a blood test for antibodies. IgM reports the so-called “fresh infection”.
